I'm running a new Sam Hillborne with a Nitto mini front rack, Wald med basket and med Shopsack. Having never used a front rack before, I wasn't sure if I would like it - handling? weight distribution? geez, you can't see the front tire...etc.
But, after a month of daily commuting I have to say - it does much more than I expected! I can fit a change of clothes, lunch, mini U- lock and a book up there no problem - thats all I need for the commute. On the way home I can stop by the grocery store, record shop or beverage barn and squeeze it in - no problem. Tip: I put a little bar tape on the basket where I attach the shopsack latch. Sometimes on a rough surface you get some clanky noise from the loose metal to metal attachment point. I also put a foam pad on the bottom of the basket to eliminate road noise if I'm running a lite load. Maybe someday I'll use that big 'ol Nitto rack on the back of the bike. Where are those new panniers anyway? Just asking... Joel -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
