ah yes,, the least expensive bike always gets the most use, doesn't it? If you like the Atlantis and WANT to use it as a commuter, go for it. View it as a personal challenge to beat it up, wear it out and use it up. Accept that part of that challenge includes the bike *might* disappear one day. That's just a possibility, not certainty. However, this is all easy for me to say. I have the same habits you do!
