@Bernard - I am sorry that my jacket is too big for you. For me, if I would only be able to wear a long sleeve mid weight merino wool pull over and a long sleeve wool jersey underneath the coat, nothing more.
I do not know the answer to your question about my jacket's waterproofing compared to the benchmark of ShowersPass's waterproofing, because I have not worn the jacket outside in the rain. However, from the description of the jacket in its' waterproof qualities, details and seeing how the jacket is constructed, I would absolutely say that it is a very quality and durable jacket for cycling in comparison to a ShowersPass Elite 2.1 jacket I had once owned before. When you wear a rain jacket for cycling, do you layer underneath ? What size do you normally wear ? Kim Hetzel.
