I was out pedaling around today in-between showers and picked up a pair of MKS RMX pedals. I put them on my Rambouillet when I got home and earlier today pedaled to the store the long way. Wow! Those pedals are great. I think I even like them more than Grip Kings. They seem to have better traction and while they may be more susceptible to pedal strike than GKs that certainly isn't a deal breaker.
As it stands right now all of my bikes have platform pedals. Sure, I have a couple of sets of SPDs laying around and I'm certain that one set will find it's way back on to one of my bikes before too long but for now... I'm pedaling free. I'm working this weekend which is fine, next week is supposed to be a scorcher so I'm looking forward to a few days of long rambles in the heat. On a related note... I recently picked up a pair of Teva Hurricanes and have found that just as Grant has said for many years, they make great cycling shoes. I had tried another pair of Tevas that I've had for years but they're just too wide and the sides always rub on the crank arms. Not so with the Hurricanes. I'm totally intoxicated on Rivendell Kool Aid! But don't worry, no intervention or detox is necessary. --mike -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
