I have a 62 Hunqapillar and a 64 Bombadil. Ryan is correct, they're essentially the same bike.
But.... the heart wants what the heart wants. I can completely respect Randy's decision: maybe he doesn't like the black and cream of the Bombadil or its horizontal TT. Maybe he's after that whimsy of the digitube or the rainbow tube those ~6 year old Atlantis's. On that subject, the current Riv lineup seems a bit bland to me. No, double TT's, no digitubes, no rainbow tubes. It's lacking that whimsy it used to have. Other than the Platypus, all the current frame kind of look the same. And kind of do the same? Even the "single speed" is now basically the same as ever other bike. Where has fanatical Rivs gone??
