I'm sorry... sarcasm doesn't work well in text.

I truly don't want a pop-top stem or a threadless headset. Even if it
gave me a slight advantage in my multi-cockpit setup. (Perhaps you
knew that; perhaps it is I that am missing the sarcasm!)

I definitely prefer the looks of the single-piece quill stem
connecting handlebars to the steerer, for all the handlebars I have.
(And I especially like the look of the Dirt Drop.)

I don't always prefer form over function as a rationale for making a
choice. But in this case, give me threaded w/quill over any of the
other arrangements on looks alone.

To those that prefer threadless (for any reason)... good... keep it
up... the diversity of desire may spur development of a better-than-
either or best-of-both system... though I will be happier if the
diversity doesn't outright kill whatever my preference is at the
time! :)
