My wife's new Yves Gomez is also 26.6mm.  I hadn't even looked at it.
Perhaps with a mixte, a thicker walled straight-gauge seat tube is
called for with the normal 28.6mm OD.   I imagine the long
parallelateral design many of us like so much with the Breezer and
many mixtes wouldn't need as beefy a seattube.   Just guessing of
course.
