The cheapest-roomiest-easiest-fastest to set up tent I've used---when
you throw all those thing into a pot & stir--is the Eureka Spitfire 2.

It is HUGE and LIGHT (under 3.8 lbs, I think). A 6-5er can make tent
angels in it. There's no vestibule, but tons of room for gear. It has
mesh for star-looking or bike-checking. It is not free-standing, but
it requires only 3 stakes, and it's easy to repitch if you blow it on
the first spot.

The poles are short, about 13 inches, too, so they fit inside big
saddlebags.

It costs less than $150 most places.

There are so may good tents out there. Tons. This one isn't head/
shoulders over any of them, but you'll never regret owning it, at that
price. Eureka tents don't have the cache of Hilleberg (which I've
owned an like) or the next rung down--MSR, North Face, Marmot, etc---
but they've never made a dumb tent, and the Spitfire 2 is....the
Cheapskate's Choice.
