I sold my Quickbeam earlier this year.  It was my favorite to ride, yet I
rode it the least.  I found that unless I rode it consistently, the lack of
multiple gears made longer/hillier rides less than pleasant.  When I rode it
a lot, my muscles and cardio adjusted and it was fine.  So long/short of
it:  if you're going to do it, commit!
