Yes, I remembered your story, which is why I qualified what I said about
"hull speed" to my DL-1.  Whether it was the bike or, more likely, the
rider, mine had a powerful reluctance to go fast.  I think the fastest I
ever went on it was one day along the Potomac on the Mount Vernon trail
just south of the 14th St. bridge with a howling tailwind, doing maybe
15 mph, when the jogger darted right out in front of me and I ran him
down.
