Jim, A basket in front is a lifesaver in dire times. Once you put it on you won't regret it.
My father works construction part time and I'm usually the tool boy to get things. Since Home Depot is only a few miles away from my house I figured I could save some time and money if I just get the tools or parts while biking. One word of caution don't try biking with sheetrock in one hand... At the beginning of last year I needed a basket for a quick run to do some errands. The basket in the front was only suppose to be temporary and the zip-ties where only suppose to be on for a day. It's now been one year.
