Most TED talks are pretty interesting. Intended to get people thinking. As for helmets and cycling, I think there are systemic reasons beyond helmets at play here which keep people from using a bike for daily commuting... Consider how profitable McDonalds is despite the health implications - convenience and habit are likely factors. On helmets: I live in Dallas where it is illegal to bicycle without one, but legal for motorcyclists to go without. Doesn't make much sense to me. So, I wear a helmet when cycling in Dallas.
