Au contraire, Pierre!  What about laterally stiff and vertically compliant?

be the shoes!!


I'll also mention that I find Patagonia Boaris shoes with a firm Vibram sole to 
be excellent for unclipped in pedaling. They work well for walking/hiking 
application as well. Kind of loud color schemes tho.

Nope.  The simple point being that if they want to market their product to 
cyclists, "Pedal Flex" is not an instantly appealing name.
