"How could one go for a ride and not pack a picnic?" While I hadn't considered the question in those terms, I do have a sack each of my wife's oatmeal, raisin, flax, and walnut cookies and her almond and orange biscotti onboard, even though the ride provides ridiculous amounts of free food. While completely unnecessary on one hand, they're absolutely necessary on the other.
