In the dark agest, sometimes on bikes with DT shifter bosses, the
brass from brazing gets sucked up into the hole for the boss, making
it impossible to tighten ANY wing-bolt. In the olde dayes, you'd just
cut off some of the wing bolt, so it wouldn't bottom out. There's
nothing peculiar about the Silver shifters that makes 'em prone to
loosening when all's well in the boss area and the mounting. Nothing I
know of, anyway..
