Is there any real difference or concern for a heavy guy like me (260+ lbs) with a moderate commuting load to ride 40mm tires vs. 50mm tires?
I like the feeling of my Atlantis with the 40mm Duremes (seems faster and quicker) but wonder if I should stick to the 50mm Supremes instead... Running the 40mm Duremes on 36 Dyad rims, the tire width after several weeks is 39.1mm in the front and 40.7mm in the rear, pumped at 37F/75R (or as close as I can get there on my analog pump gauge) per the updated tire pressure table. I don't have the measurements of the 50mm Supremes now as they are not mounted, but was running them at 30F/60R per the old table, although the new one suggests 31/50. Any thoughts?
