Jim, those really do look like interesting sites.... but, I turn 68 this year and increasingly feel like life is too short to give much to Facebook (zero) or blogs. Try this post again, around jan 7th.
On a semi related topic, my wife and I ended a brief argument by agreeing that we are working too hard and need a vacation. I was thinking Minnesota bike trails, but am open to suggestions.
