Patrick,
I had a Ram and currently own a Roadeo. I sold my Ram and regretted it and
later bought a Roadeo. I am a club rider that does the occasional century
ride.
I bought the Ram from Grant after a long discussion about ride philosophy
and bike fit.
My Ram and my Roadeo really feel right with my Grand Bois 700x29 tires. I
am sure that other brands of tires in a similar size would have a similar
feel. The frames both have a handling characteristic that inspires you to
hammer down winding, rough, downhills. Both are not light, but if you enjoy
the Rivendell thing, then you are not on the clock. My hill climbing
actually improved because of the improvement in fit.
Anyway. to each his own. Just my experiense.
