What Pudge meant was that he had been running Bruce Gordon Rock n' Road tires on his Mystery bike. I agree that in most cases, a commuter should have fenders. I'm lucky to have more than one bike and put fenders, albeit cheapy plastic Crud fenders, on one of my bikes to use when its wet outside. Otherwise, one lucky thing about living in my area is there are months when it doesn't rain and fenders are optional. Good Luck!
