I have a plastic wicker version of this basket, and the quick release is not
all that stable on my rear rack. It doesn't fall off, but it is not rock solid
by any means.

Subject: [RBW] Re: Does anyone have any experience with the Public bikes basket
on a Nitto M-12 front rack?

Sorry, for $60 I think Public has missed the boat with this (big time)...
here's why:

First, Riv sells Wald baskets for $20...no brainer...
OK, the Public is removable, and it has a handle, but who wants to haul around
the actual basket?? It's way too klunky and unstable, especially with a heavy
bottle of wine. For me, a bag (or bags) of my choice will always be
preferable, AND it will further protect my stuff when I place it in the basket
(that is BTW zip-tied to my rack). No... my basket stays put, and I use
whatever bag I happen to have with me. With the $40 I save, I could add
baskets to a few more bikes, or get myself a pretty snappy bag... :)

Peace,
BB

This looks like a very handy basket. I am just wondering if it would work on an
M-12? I wrote the company and so far no response.
Does anyone have one? Thoughts? Opinions?

Thanks in Advance,
Clay
