i just borrowed a public bike this past weekend (from the hotel), just looking at the rack on that, the platform looks a lot bigger/wider then an M12, size is more similiar to a pletscher, so i'm not sure how this would clip on to an M12, Bobby has the best suggestion, just learn to love having a basket on all the time and using a canvas bag.
