Here's my bike-
http://kaivierstra.blogspot.com/2013/02/bik.html (and web log)

I'm an artist and educator living in and commuting from Brooklyn, NY
I'm 6'8", 225lb, 40 yrs. My bike's a 2 year old 64cm Sam Hillborne.
It's got an Ultegra hub up front and Deore out back, both stuck to Mavic
719's with Schwalbe Supreme rubber.
105 front derailer, Deore back
Sugino 175 cranks 40x26 (11x34 cassette)
Recently switched up a albatross bars for the bosco bullmooses (in
december, a decision made in hopes of winning a giant appaloooosa via the
raffle). Even though I didn't win I'm so happy I made the switch. The
bullmooses are not only awesome, they gave me another closed triangle to
stick a cable through when locking up on the mean streets of NYC (too many
barless bikes out there, gotta protect my vintage XT thumbshifters as best
I can)

I'm giving a lot of thought to a dyno hub right now, liking the hype
surrounding the SON28, possibly with the Luxos U for the usbism and general
plushness, if only it wasn't all so hellaciously expensive...

Also thinking about a front rack because of all y'alls love of them.
Probably the mini front because it's got brazed stays and would use the
relatively useless hole in the middle of my forks.

Also, I pull a trailer a lot, I love it, it rules, it's a surly Ted. I
got it knowing I could haul all sorts of crazy stuff around the city but
also that I might retrofit it with a child seat for my 1.5 year old. That
scared me once the kid was in my arms so I opted for one of those stem
mounted dutch seats instead. It also rules.

Anyways, I read all this stuff and enjoy hearing about all your
bikescapades. I'm about to post a weird question an thought I should make
the intro first.

Take care and happy cycling to all of you
-Kai
