Agreed. I'm not expecting or insinuating that going 650 on this will 
drastically transform the bike. But having ridden both wheel sizes with 
multiple different tires, "I" find the 650b feels more efficient on the 
smooth stuff. I did not measure the actual difference, but the 650x41 
inflated on a wheel sitting next to the 26x1.95 (49) was certainly taller. 
I'm sure this would vary considerably depending on the actual inflated 
tires being compared.

My buddy LOVES converted old Stumpys! As for conversions, I've only done a 
27" UJB to 700c. It worked out really well with only changing the wheels 
and adding a long reach tektro sidepull.
