I use the VO stem adapter on one bike and like it . I think it's a grand invention ! I don't mind the look of using the adapter with a threadless stem at all , it's simply different. The flexibility of using the adapter and being able to swap out lengths is AWESOME !! To me, the days of using the "traditional" stem are gone , I wasn't ever fond of the inflexibility of the whole idea anyways, that to change anything you had to unwrap the bars and get a whole new stem . I bought a cool looking NOS Koski stem on ebay to go with it :)
