What? Someone without Luke Skywalker's binoculars? You must be the last
one! Grin. I realized I forgot to add the worlds "iPhone app" to the
description, so it reads like this now:

Since roads always look flat in photos, I used my Theodolite app on my
iPhone to measure this road at 7˚ incline. or a 12% grade if my math is
correct. The road gets steeper for a few switchbacks just round the bend.
This is Rampart Range Road, N out of Woodland Park.

So, if you have a smart phone, for a few bucks more you to can have Luke
Skywalker's binos. I actually got it as an attempt to help me visually
learn to recognize vertical and the horizon again despite the protestations
of my vertigo. It hasn't worked yet as I still take crooked pictures almost
all the time, but it makes a nifty way to measure the angles of things.

With abandon,
Patrick
