Rick,

I have a supernova on my nitto mini front mounted on one of the side bolts 
using a long M6(?) bolt and a plastic spacer to push it out far enough to 
clear the rack.  I mounted mine upside down (which some people say is a bad 
idea, but i don't ride that particular bike in the rain that often) and i 
think a basket could mount on top with the light in that position.  

no pics as i'm out of town, but you should be able to find something on 
flickr if you search for supernova.  Dan's link to using a gino mount (or a 
diy gino), is a similiar concept of mounting it below the basket.  

we are making it sound complicated, but run to the hardware store and play 
around with bolts/brackets to find something that fits.
