Yes, it's the "finding like-minded riders" piece that's missing. I know quite a few people who ride, but in terms of their recreational riding, they're either Gran Fondo racing cyclists, or randonneurs. I can't keep up with either sort, but knowing that there are other like-minded folks from Vancouver on this list gives me a good place to start.
