Anne, He's planning for an S240 and the locale is temperate. I always get cold so I tend to error on the side of more layers.
Tom the list looks good, I find (since I'm new to this) I could have brought something or left something behind but as Deacon states why risk it. I am continuing to refine my pack list . I agree with what Mike said about the load for a week or S240 is close to the same with the exception of additional socks and underwear. Currently I use small panniers and with my packed weight ( Pannier weight included) is 32 lbs not including food or water. If I was credit card touring then I could ditch all the camp gear and go really lite.
