I picked up some new Hetres for the Hilsen last winter and mounted
them on my synergy rims. I used an extra layer of rim tape to compensate
for the deep wells. I tweaked things as best as possible and took them for
a spin. I thought the bike handling was kind of twitchy. I took the
tires off and added an additional layer of tape and felt the same thing. I
rode them for a week or two but never got used to it. Is this how it would
feel if not seated well? The seating looked ok. Not sure what year the
rims come from (2009?- 2010?).
I've just been riding Pari-motos for the last three years. Maybe it
was just the difference in the way the two different tires feel? When I
put the Pari-motos back on everything felt good again. Hetres get such
great reviews that I am tempted to get a different set of rims just to see
if it was the rims or myself that were the problem. Anyone else have a
problem like this?
