Patrick As a large cranium'd human, I've followed this thread with interest. My Scandinavian/Scottish "HAIR"itage has my skull more thinly and flatly turfed than yours but I think the sheer volume of my 7-7/8 hat size still qualifies me in melon-headedness.
I'd like you to do the following. Please buy three (3) (III) of these: <http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn.volusion.com/ctxtv.wmppt/v/vspfiles/photos/ac8L-1.jpg?1355759760> Why three? (3!) Excellent question. I've found that sizing variation in some garments provide inconsistent fit (and more importantly "feel"), so I absolutely cannot commit to purchasing any until you provide me a detailed report. Furthermore, please keep track of each of the three, as I must know how fit and performance evolves over time with use and more importantly over washings (and please PLEASE do not forget to keep track of "feel"). Do they soften and wear in? Or become lumpy and shapeless (I will not countenance G-D shapelessness!) Does the drawstring provide enough security in the face of, say 30-35mph headwinds, particularly from the front right? I've found I duck into headwinds a little to the left, so rightward biased headwinds are particularly threatening to dislodge my chapeau. Does any security come at the expense of constriction when climbing? Particularly with a slow metronomic meditative cadence in a ~67" gear? I will not have my meditation-climbing interrupted by a restrictive lid! Is there uniformity in shrinkage with washings? If so, in what way, please limit no details, I can take the full truth. Is the seaming sufficiently reinforced. If not, can you please provide three (3) seamstress estimate quotes for necessary alterations and reinforcements. Thanks!
