I'm using mitts from Outdoor Research ( http://www.outdoorresearch.com/en/accessories/gloves/mens-adrenaline-mitts-1.html .
I thought I'd have to use liners, but inside the compartment my individual fingers are benefitted by the others' presence in the same enclosed and warmed air. If I had these in 1978, perhaps my fingers wouldn't have frostbitten and subsequently become so touchy about immersion and cold.
