I've got my Sam set up at the moment as kind of a cyborg single speed with a 40/26/bashguard up front and a 16 tooth cog in back with whatever spacers and old cogs I had in my parts bucket. No front derailler at the moment.
All this is held together with a normal length chain running through a long cage deraillier. I'd like to replace the rear derailleur with a chain tensioner if I can find one that will let me keep the granny gear up front for occasional use.
