I had to fiddle with that mirror on each of the bikes I put it on – but once I
found the right spot and adjustment, mostly set and forget. I don’t find
myself having to do the lean to get a clear rear view. My bolt came out on one
of mine, too, but a replacement with a bit of Loctite fixed it right up. The
mirror works well on Boscos, too – here on the proto-App Mystery Bike:

The German Mirror... Man, I really want to like that thing. I can't get it
positioned so that I can see behind me without leaning my body out of the way.
The bolt that fixes the mirror position rattled out and was lost after a week
of riding. The damn thing knocks into everything. I do like seeing behind me,
though, even if I have to lean out of the way. Where DO you mount the blasted
thing, anyway?

Albas, totally love em. I have Boscos now, and they're fine. I like that I can
run my stem lower than with albas, but I miss the hooks when I'm climbing. And
aesthetically, the boscos just don't look as nice on my Hunqapillar.

That mirror, though. I shake my fist at it daily...

I love the grouping of the
best/worst<http://www.rivbike.com/category-s/795.htm> for the January Sale.
My thoughts on best:
Good lip stuff, Obenauf's, hemp twine, pine tar soap, John's Irish strap, can
never get enough!
Albas - love em.
Mark's rack - I eventually will get one of these.

On worst:
Ones I like:
MUSA Half Mitts (new edition with thumbs). I am sure these do not sell well,
but I think they are a great addition to a bike bag for when it gets a bit
chillier than you thought it would.
German Mirror. I love mine, but it is so dorky (like my poncho), I bet it
doesn't sell a ton.

Ones I don't like:
Half Mitts thumbs. Half Mitts without thumbs were a bad idea, to sell
individual thumbs even worse.
Windshield. You could make the same argument as for the Half Mitts (dorky, but
practical), but I won't!
Grunden's rain hat - I like the poncho, the hat is a little much for biking.

Mystery - Anorak - low selling because they are new? High selling because they
are good looking, cheap, practical and fold down small?

What do you all think?

Edwin
