Pasta, Seafood and Eggs:
Barbecued Shrimp

from the Houston Junior League Cookbook


INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds raw shrimp
1 cup salad oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons chili sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 teaspoon salt
Juice of 2 lemons
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
TO PREPARE:

Shell and devein shrimp.  Combine all other ingredients to make sauce.  Marinate shrimp in sauce for 2 hours.  Broil, 5 to 10 minutes on each side, basting several times with sauce.

SERVES:  4 as a main course or 8-10 as hors d'oeuvres
