INGREDIENTS:
5-6
tart apples, peeled and sliced
1/2
cup sugar
1-1/2
teaspoons cinnamon
1
9-inch pie shell, unbaked
2/3
cup flour
1/2
cup packed brown sugar
1/3
cup cold margarine, cut into small pieces
TO
PREPARE:
1.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2.
Combine apples, sugar and cinnamon. Mix until apples are well-coated
with sugar and cinnamon. Place in pie shell.
3.
Mix flour and brown sugar. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in
margarine until coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle over apples.
4.
Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 degrees and bake an additional
35 minutes.
