List Price $129.99 Your Price $87.99 Click here to order   Print this recipe Send this recipe to a friend Desserts: Apple Nut Cake from the Houston Junior League Cookbook INGREDIENTS: 1-1/2 cups salad oil 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 3 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons vanilla 3 cups unpeeled, cored, chopped Winesap apples 1 cup chopped pecans TO PREPARE: Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease and flour a large tube pan, or 9x15-inch sheet pan.  Combine oil and sugar; mix well.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt together and add to egg mixture.  Add vanilla; mix well.  Fold in apples and pecans.  Bake in preheated oven for 60-70 minutes if baking in tube pan, or 45 minutes of baking in sheet pan.   Copyright 1992 The Junior League of Houston, Inc.  All rights reserved.
