Steve,

The upper rear portion of my turret is angled downward.  A good portion of 
it is lower than the gun at zero elevation.  Not a good situation for any 
sort of gravity feed.  The only space that I consider close to viable for a 
gravity feed is forward of the feed tube on the gun.  With the gun depressed 
(3 degrees) there is only about  1/2" (maybe a shade more) of space between 
the top of the gun and the top of the turret just above the feed tube.  I 
may be able to improve this by a tenth of an inch or so by cutting away part 
of the aluminum block that I use as a pivot.  However, any distance I gain 
in headroom by moving the marker forward, I lose in horizontal space between 
the feed tube and the pivot block.
