I am also a newbie and strangely enough, a T-34/85 was also my choice for my first tank.
It looks like a fairly easy build and thanks to Mr Tyng, there are some good plans out there to work from, so I think that answers your question Gregory. Oh, and the /85 was the best model I could find on 3D Warehouse Ps. Neil, I shall be back to take some more points from T051, that is if it's back in service by next UK battle.
