When properly treated and when using the proper primer, painting
aluminum is not a big deal. A good marine metal primer by itself will
do a good job, or you can anodize the surface first for even better
results. If the metal primer is a two-part primer, then it probably
already includes the anodizing chemicals ... read the label.
