little they do  displace could mean that the tracks don't grip aswell
on the bottom of the  water because there is the effect of reduced
weight of the  tank.


the only tanks i could see this might happen to (and i'm even  doubtful there 
too) would be the ones without any suspension as the ones with  it, the 
tracks would lower a bit as the weight were removed for the spring  system 
allowing 
the wheels to drop.
