Got in talks last year, but they are in a world of there own , that is the film production crews. been there before and been filmed so its a case of locking a day down and sticking to the days and times. They love the can we do that again crap as it looks good so the battling stuff would have to be mock when they are filming unless they know what they are doing first time. We have to think about the current climate aswell and the credit crunch and make sure things are ok with everybody by these dates.
Right off over the weekend be able to go through some more stuff on Monday. Until then here are some thoughts Just to note scenery etc would be advisable for mock battles I have some plans for scenery that can be scaled up and made out of wood. If everybody took one and built a mock piece of scenery they could be flat packed, then assembled on site everytime you battled. normally wooden construction then copied background (wall etc) onto sticky plastic then glued. I have a small generator, and background music and battlefield sounds that of world war two for effects. If everyone brought a small video camera even a phone then positioned them across points in the field a bit of editing and some time would produce a good film aswell. But as soon as dates are secured and sorted local papers could be invited then to add to publicity you could contact your local paper and get it in there. Honestly I think it would look cool. I even have connections with some model spitfire guys maybe I could rope them in for a few attack runs as there is a decent runway hopefully unless the farmers churn it up. Been doing mock building and battles for over a year now so have most of the kit but its for 1/16th models not 1/6th etc. Principal the same just bigger scenery, slightly easier actually and less to glue back on.
