Hmmm …. Good thought. I don’t think it will be flexible enough in the short
width I need. I figure the hinge will be about 1-2” wide and 11” long.

Subject: [TANKS] what material for flexible hinge ?

Hello –

One of the things I don’t like about my tank is that reloading is a very slow
process. To correct that, I’m installing a hatch in the top of my turret. I
need a hinge mechanism, but I’m not sure what material would be best. I want to
use a strip of flexible material, like rubber, to help keep out the paint. I
also want to paint it, though, and I don’t think I can paint rubber. Any
suggestions ?

               Thanks,

               Doug
