That's an interesting concept... Perhaps a device similar to real tanks' hydraulic gun-leveling system can be employed. Instead of hydraulics, it could use servos (linear actuators) or perhaps even pneumatic rams. However, the electronics used to fine-tune the aim would be difficult.
