For me it's the distance, time and the money (not necessarily in that order). I'm north of Seattle, Washington and most people & battles seem to be on the east coast, so it takes a lot of time and money to go that distance...

At Gettysburg, we were discussing why more people don’t attend the battles. We have a lot of fun with the 6-8 regulars that show up consistently, but it would be great to see some fresh targets … I mean faces. It seems to me like there are three kinds of tankers. The regulars, the tank owners, and the hopefuls. The tank owners are those few who have built a vehicle but do not attend battles. The hopefuls are those who just cannot complete a vehicle, sometimes after years of trying. Is there anything that can be done to encourage battle attendance for all the groups ? Is it distance ? Scheduling conflicts ? Tank owners, were the battles you attended disappointing somehow ? For the hopefuls, what is the single biggest factor preventing you from completing an asset ? Time ? Money ? Know-how ? - Doug --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
