I can understand why distant tankers can’t travel to Maryland or Pennsylvania for battles. To date, however, I don’t think any U.S. battles have occurred outside of that region. I could be mistaken about that.
For example, Kelly, both you and Aahz say that lack of nearby opponents keep you away from being active in the hobby. What keeps you two from meeting up somewhere in Washington ? I would guess it’s because there are no battle-ready assets in that area. Is that right ? We have a lot of fun with the 6-8 regulars that show up consistently, but it would be great to see some fresh targets … I mean faces. It seems to me like there are three kinds of tankers. The regulars, the tank owners, and the hopefuls. The tank owners are those few who have built a vehicle but do not attend battles. The hopefuls are those who just cannot complete a vehicle, sometimes after years of trying. Is there anything that can be done to encourage battle attendance for all the groups ? Is it distance ? Scheduling conflicts ? Tank owners, were the battles you attended disappointing somehow ? For the hopefuls, what is the single biggest factor preventing you from completing an asset ? Time ? Money ?
