just wondering, how big is that gear that your trying to use as a fly wheel? how much does it weigh? what about a cast iron weight? might be not be too pricey and give you more of a fly wheel - if you really need one (don't think you would though). are you planing to use the flywheel to coast the tank to a stop? while i'm thinking of it, the drive chains, do they have any slack in them? if so, are you planning to add a tension wheel/sprocket so they don't come off?
