I pointed out in the details that the system is not done yet. There is going to be one more gear bolted to the differential. It will get turned by a pinion gear that gets its power from the engine.
I made this diagram to explain exactly how this system works. Bench tests proved that it works good. Now its time to apply it to my tank. http://kingtigerproject.webs.com/Untitled.jpg Yes the chains will have a tensioner preventing them from whipping around when rotating. I just haven't gotten around it it yet. Lots of work to do on this tank. I plan to have a lot of exterior detail as well.
