A quick question for the German armour modellers... I'm currently building an M24 which uses a german style torque rod suspension. Most of the tanks i've seen on this site (cleverly) use cranks and extension springs to replicate this system. Is this because of space requirements? Has anyone ever tried to use actuall torque rods? Is this system even scalable? I was thinking maybe some of the spring treatment techniques in the instruction section could be applied to some keyed shaft or some hex bar... but I dont know the first thing about springs.
