I mix the two methods... draw in Alibre so I can fiddle with sizing and let the PC do all the numbercrunching, and then print pics with measurements on them to take out to the shop. My shop computer is not man enough to run Alibre and my dark tower of power (2x Radeon 4870 1GB cards in crossfire mode, 12GB system RAM, etc etc overkill etc) will never see the shop. 8D
I like having a paper drawings to scribble on, as well.
