A gyro would help a lot. Every screw will have different traction depending on the particularities of the terrain , and the gyro should correct slippage. I am only trying to figure out if a ZIL is a back hole of energy, with tons of loss. Does it have more loss of energy than a hovercraft? I wonder. With steel floaters- screws along the sides, it is going to be a heavy vehicle for sure. Will it float or sink?

Ssuspension or not, experimental or not, whoever sent the link with the ZIL
screw, it was a bad idea.

The problem is I know exactly how to build this one and I have two straight
18 Volt drills. Start with steel tubes, some 40 cms long, 10 cms fiam. no
tracks, no wheels involved. Lawn, sand, mud, sandy beach, snow, lakes, can
negotiate anything.

Rubber screws would wear even faster than metal ones.
